Nearing the End


Well it’s been a few weeks since I have posted. Sorry life is insane for everyone isn’t it? I guess that can’t be an excuse. I need to take the time and become better at time management. But that’s one of the biggest issues for me. I can’t manage my own time very well.

What have I been doing the last few weeks? Well I’m glad you asked. I have been Illustrating a book! A little poem I had written for a History class I’m taking. I know odd combination.  My history professor used to be a English teacher for fifteen years. Long story short I just finished it. Getting it reviewed before I send it to the printers. So that’s excited. But yet ago been dealing with a lot of health issues lately. So as of Monday I am going to be going Paleo: images

The Paleo Dietis based upon eating wholesome, contemporary foods from the food groups our hunter-gatherer ancestors would have thrived on during the Paleolithic era, the time period from about 2.6 million years ago to the beginning of the agricultural revolution, about 10,000 years ago. These foods include fresh meats, fish, seafood, fresh fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and healthful oils (olive, coconut, avocado, macadamia, walnut and flaxseed). Dairy products, cereal grains, legumes, refined sugars and processed foods were not part of our ancestral menu.

Yikes this is a big change for me. So what does The Paleo Diet help with?

  • Obesity
  • Cardiovascular diseases
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Cancer
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Osteoporosis
  • Acne
  • Myopia (nearsightedness), macular degeneration, glaucoma
  • Varicose veins, hemorrhoids, diverticulosis, gastric reflux
  • Gout

For me it’s not to be skinny. I’m doing this for my health. I’ll never be a small woman. But there is so much more to me. I want to be healthy. I want to be able to jog a 5K without feeling exhausted. I want to be off a laundry list of medications. I want to take control of my health issues.  So I will be starting this in a few days. I want to plan and get ready and do it properly.

Just a reminder I will be posting in about a week the results in my 90 day challenge. It won’t be the best results but no matter what it is results.
